Alan Erwin Ball born May 13,  is an American writer, director, and producer for television, film, and theater. He was an executive producer on the Cinemax television series Banshee. He also wrote and directed the film Uncle Frank. Ball was born in Marietta, Georgia , to Frank and Mary Ball, respectively an aircraft inspector and a homemaker.
Russell Corwin is Claire Fisher 's sexually ambiguous classmate who she befriends during her time at art school. Claire initially suspects that he is gay but he insists that he is not and they date briefly. However, he sleeps with their art teacher Olivier Castro-Staal , which leads to Claire breaking up with him. When she learns she is pregnant she has an abortion, which leaves Russell distraught.
He is portrayed by Michael C. He is four years younger than his older brother Nate, and at the beginning of the series both share a strained relationship, mostly due to David's jealousy over Nate's escape from the Fisher home, as well as his 'Golden Boy' image with their parents, Ruth and Nathaniel Sr. This relationship soothes after Nate decides to stay and help out with the family business, and are shown to have mended their relationship by the end of Season 1, and share a close bond by the end of Season 2. He seems to share a loving, if not a slightly strained relationship with his mother, Ruth.
